In the beginning of December in Valmiera the popular athletes, popular sports event in Valmiera of year was awarded and the popular kind of sport in Valmiera was announced.

We must admit that EuroFloorball Cup 2010 was announced as most popular sport event of year in Valmiera. It was won in the survey of Valmiera citizens. EFC 2010 took place in Vidzeme Olympic center and Koceni sports hall in the beginning of October, 2010. Floorball was announced as sport of year.

Latvian Floorball Union hope that further cooperation with Valmiera will be closer and hope that floorball will be not only most popular kind of sport in Valmiera city, but also in other cities in Latvia.
